The Vans Team In Zagreb and Split Croatia!

We arrived in Zagreb in style!

The Locals showed us a good time with some DYI spot they built!

Hamknuckle is driving a Range Rover and thinks it's funny that some poor guy has to drive a Yugo!

Upon our arrival to Split, Croatia... we find this would be our home for the 5 days... Five dudes one toilet= Not Good!

Dogtown And Z-Boys Deluxe Edition

In conjunction with Sony Pictures Classics, Vans announces the release of a new deluxe edition of Dogtown and Z-Boys, the famed documentary chronicling the early 70s birth of modern skateboarding in Southern California. Directed by skateboard legend Stacy Peralta, and narrated by Sean Penn, Dogtown and Z-Boys is the story of a group of gifted kids who single-handedly created a lifestyle that spread infectiously and become a worldwide cultural phenomenon. Over 30 years later, Vans celebrates the skate pioneers with a re-release of the award winning documentary that features members of the original Zephyr Skateboard Team including Jay Adams, Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta and their mentors Jeff Ho and Skip Engblom.


The deluxe edition, which will be available exclusively at Vans retail stores and at shop.vans.com this November, includes an all-new special features disc with footage of legendary riders Tony Alva, Bucky Lasek, Chris Miller, Rune Glifberg and more, as well as interviews with Alva and Lasek.


Along with the DVD, a special collection of limited edition Dogtown product will be released inlcuding two hoodies, hats and a tee featuring the infamous Dogtown cross and graffiti art from the streets of Venice Beach. In a nod to the original Zephyr rippers, two Era's in heritage inspired colorways from the early 70s will also be available. Look for Dogtown product starting this month at Vans retail stores and on the web.

Bucky Wins His Third Dew Cup!

After taking three of the four Skate Vert contests during this summer's Dew Tour, Vans Skate Team rider took home his third Dew Cup yesterday. The finals heated up and Vert was brought to a whole new level, but in the end Bucky came out on top with numerous tricks including switch 360s and nose blunt into the gap. Congrats!

Vans DTSD - Chosen Obstacles & Expected Riders!

Get ready to see skateboarding's top pros and ams vie for their piece of $85,000 as the 5th Annual Downtown Showdown invades Paramount Studios' Back Lot this Saturday, September 26. The top teams in skateboarding including Girl, Flip, Blind (2008 Top Team), Creature, Black Label, Foundation, Toy Machine, SK8MAFIA and Zoo York each submitted plans for obstacles and Vans has picked the best of the lot.

Girl, Flip, Black Label and Creature's designs have been chosen and custom built as part of this year's Showdown course. Each team will session the four unique obstacles in a round-robin format with awards going out for top team, best pro, top am, best performance by obstacle and FUEL TV's Viewer's Choice.
