A Case of the Mondays on a Tuesday? That's crazy enough to work!
The legend that is Christian Hosoi has been on a whirlwind tour in support of his book Hosoi:My Life as a Skateboarder, Junkie, Inmate, Pastor since its release in June. This past Saturday he teamed up with fellow skate legend, Salman Agah, for a signing at Salman's critically acclaimed pizzeria in Downtown LA, Pizzanista. The results were nothing short of spectacular. Hosoi has effected and impacted skaters of nearly every single generation and it could be seen in the varying ages of the crowd of hundreds that turned out. From 30-year-old skaters holding their infant skaters to teenagers to legends like Lance Mountain and Ray Barbee; every age group turned out to meet and support Christian on his big night. Even fellow pioneers like Steve Caballero and Tommy Guerrero came out to support, making the long drive from San Jose and San Francisco.
If you were there you know it was a classic gathering of amazing people coming together for a man that has changed all our lives and most importantly changed his own. If you weren't then you owe it to yourself to pick up Hosoi's book and have your own life changed for the better.
