Omar Hassan Week Day 1: Blasts From The Past
Posted June 11, 2012, 6 a.m. /
Welcome back to the latest installment of Vans Rider Week. This week we focus on one of skateboarding's original ATVs, Black Label pro, Omar Hassan. Typically we set the week off with an exclusive interview with the rider but we've decided to save that until tomorrow and instead begin with a bunch of Omar's interviews from the past two+ decades. Omar has navigated his way through some of the best and worst times in skateboarding, the high notes and the lean times and he's managed to come out the other side in one piece. Now with cement parks popping up everywhere around the globe and more and more kids becoming ATVs Omar is truly in his glory days. So we present to you these interviews to brush up on your knowledge of Omar and we'll see you back here tomorrow for an exclusive interview where Omar tells some Gonz stories, challenges Jereme Rogers to a rap battle and tells us how he got the name Omar when his brothers are named Lauren and Jason. Enjoy.
