In celebration of the Venice Skate Park’s third anniversary, the Venice Skateboard Association (VSA), in association with Pro-Tec, presents the
2012 Dennis “Polar Bear” Agnew Memorial Pool Jam on Sunday, June 24, 2012. Along with skating competitions, the event will also have vendors,
giveaways, raffles and food trucks.

EVENT FEATURES:
• Cash prizes awarded in three categories: 15+ Under Pool, 16+ Under Pool and Best Trick
• Professional skaters and celebrities will be in attendance.
• Skating competitions judged by professional skaters.
• Vendors, giveaways, raffles and food trucks.
• Registration 9:00 -10:00 AM/Contest 11:00 AM
EVENT LOCATION:
Established in 2009, the VENICE SKATE PARK is not only a world-class skating facility but also a local monument. Built as a direct result of the tireless effort
of local skaters and community volunteers, it is one of only three skate parks in the world that lies in sand. Its background of palm trees and surf is a fitting
symbol of Venice’s unique culture and history.
EVENT ORGANIZERS:
The VSA is a 501(c) non-profit organization comprised of dedicated volunteers who spend countless hours and work around the clock to care for the Venice
Skatepark. Most noticeably, the VSA is directly responsible for keeping the park clean and graffiti-free in a neighborhood where tagging is seemingly unstoppable.
Volunteers also provide First-Aid, water and sunblock and guidance for the younger skaters as well as insuring the park is family-friendly and open to all skaters.
Founded in 1973, PRO-TEC is the original action sports protective gear brand, manufacturing helmets and pads (skate, snow and bike).(www.pro-tec.net)
