Curren Caples Week Day 4: Dial Up Memories

Welcome back to the fourth day of Curren Caples Week where we sneak a peak at Curren's cellphone photos. "Curren is always on the next phenomenon," Anthony Acosta told us, "He’s always got the newest, hottest YouTube video, he's all over Instagram and Twitter. If it's new he knows all about it." But Curren told us he's pretty much only into Instagram, "“Sometimes I’ll post on Instagram three times a day. I’m into Instagram. I hate Twitter and Facebook but I like Instagram. It seems like those other ones are a lot of replying to people and I hate replying to stuff.”
We asked Curren to give us his favorite 25 photos in his phone at the moment and tell us about them. (Make sure you follow Curren on Instagram)
Me and Louie [Lopez] went to the mall in Ventura and got foot massages. Louie got a dude and I got that girl. On my Instagram I wrote, “HAPPY ENDING,” and everyone was like, “Why would you want that?”
This was at Ikea and they had these mini, little doors and I put my shoes on my knees and tucked my arms in and walked through the door as a midget. It’s a video this is just a screen shot. In life I’m not much bigger than that. When I stand up I’m maybe like an inch or two taller.
It had rained and every single hole looked like that. It wasn’t that fun playing miniture golf after the rain so we ended up hitting all the golf balls onto the freeway.
That is my Langi impression. He took a photo of himself on a train looking out the window so this is my Andrew Langi pose, just wondering what’s out there.
That’s actually a girl. I was driving and I took that photo. I still don’t have my driver’s license.
That’s my cat and whenever it sleeps it dangles its arms over the side of something. It’s name is History because she was a wild cat and when I was little she would just hiss all the time.
This is Ventura Road spelled wrong.
When I log onto my school for homeschooling that’s the first thing I see, that girl on a computer. Me and Louie go to the same school and he sees that too and we’re always like, “Yeah…homework is so fun!”
I posted this photo on Instagram and wrote, “The face of neglect.” I don’t neglect my dog, it just looks like it, like he’s all bummed and over it.
That was on the most recent Flip trip after we did the interview for Monday. We were all trying to take the gayest photos we could at the Grand Canyon.
This is a photo I found in a Sky Mall catalog and it looks identical to Louie. Basically all my photos are directed at Louie for some reason.
That’s just mine and Jake [Anderson]’s board in Hollywood. I jusy thought it looked cool.
I drew Louie and I was super-stoked because I put it on Twitter and then Todd Bratrud commented, “That’s not the best I’ve seen you draw but it’s still good.” I was all stoked because he’s a sick artist.
I saw this van in Australia and thought it was hilarious.
This was in Amsterdam and I was saying that I just got adopted by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
That’s me and Louie took the photo. It was a fun day on this recent Flip trip we were just on in Arizona.
This is Andrew the Flip TM in Tampa. I wasn’t there but the story is that the bar bought the Flip guys shots and Andrew took his and threw it behind his back and they were like, “No! You can’t do that!” So they ordered him another shot and he took it and his eyes went all crazy and he collapsed and threw up. He puked and then rolled threw it. I know there’s other photos with David Loy laying next to him. He passed out on the ground after one shot.
That was right when I got the 4S and I was writing reminders and every time I left my house it would remind me to wipe my ass. And the conversation in the background is just a bunch of penises…
That’s Jake in his Halloween costume that he found in the back of my dad’s car. That day we were trying to make a dumb helicopter montage and getting all artsy with it and he’s holding the camera and the toy helicopter hits him in the head and he dropped the camera. The footage is funny.
This was at Ikea too. The tiger was lifting weights and Louie put it by his crotch to look like it’s holdin its balls.
This is just a sticker I found in Bondi at the skatepark.
This is just me getting artsy with it on the Flip tour at Geoff’s house. It’s weird because it’s high up and not hot there at all, it’s actually cold. But it looks pretty scary looking.
There’s this longboard surfer named Wingnut and he was like, “Can you help me get his pants up a little higher?” This photo was taken in Pearl Harbor.
That’s me on Bones trip to Orcas Island. We were skating and filming tricks in the mask. David Gravette wore it and it matched his skin-tone perfectly. It’s pretty hard to skate in a mask; we had to cut the eyes out a little bigger. It was kind of scary because you couldn’t see your board.
That’s my face on the thumb. It’s weird looking. It’s an app I had. I always throw up the thumbs up so I thought it was appropriate. It used to be my Instagram profile picture.
