September Shred Contest Saturday 9/22 at The Block

Vans Skatepark in Orange, CA will be hosting the 5th annual September Shred Skate Contest this Saturday, September 22nd. Registration starts at 10am and the contest gets rolling at 1pm. Prizes include $500 for 1st place in the sponsored division, $300 for 1st place in the ages 14+ division and giant sponsor prize packs for 1st place in the ages 6 - 13 division. Gilbert Crockett & Alien Workshop Win Thrasher King of the Road

The points were tallied in the wee small hours of the night and the results came back that our own Gilbert Crockett, John Fitzgerald and the Alien Workshop team won the 2012 Thrasher King of the Road presented by Vans. Wonder if Gilby can repeat as MVP?

Case of the Mondays: Taylor Smith's Injury Report

These Cases of the Mondays are turning into Vans' official injury report. Last week it was Johnny Layton with a groin injury and this week it's Foundation am, Taylor Smith, with perhaps the most expensive rolled ankle in history. Hopefully this column isn't a jinx.
