Vans European Downtown Showdown

On Saturday, 14th August, Hamburg’s Red Light District hosted the biggest skateboard event the German harbour city has ever seen. Over 5,000 people visited the Spielbudenplatz throughout the day, witnessing nine of Europe’s best Skateboard teams battle it out against each other. €14’000 out of the €50’000 prize purse went to the days winning team: Element Europe. Dengue Fever performed in downtown last Friday at Grand Performances, a music festival on Grand Avenue. The place was super jam packed. Forever The Sickest Kids & African Water Wells

Those two subjects actually do have much to do with one another. In case you're not aware, FTSK are good hearted dudes who keep a donations jar at their merch booth for a charity they have a soft spot for. The proceeds from this little jar have added up to seven wells either being dug or repaired in small villages in the Central African Republic.
