The weather started getting rough, the tiny bowl was tossed, if not for the courage of the fearless Pedro Barros the contest would be lost. With the rain shutting down the Dew Tour Ocean City, Maryland finals after a few rounds our own Pedro Barros came out on top, victorious. Congrats, Pedro!

Well, maybe Curren Caples & Pedro Barros technically didn't win this weekend's Coastal Carnage BUT if you eliminate* anyone named Ben (Ben Raybourn 1st, Ben Hatchell 2nd) then the crown and all the duties of Mr. Coastal Carnage would revert to our own Curren 1st place and Pedro 2nd place. It was De ja vu all over again with seventeen-year-old Brazilian, Pedro Barros, defending his first Pro-tec Pool Party Pro crown to win $28,000 at the Vans Skatepark in Orange, California Saturday night as he again fought off Rune Glifberg in second place and Bucky Lasek who returned to the Pro-tec podium after missing last year with a broken wrist.
