Pacquard

“They are so functional—a lot more stable in the heel, nice and low under my toes, and really comfortable. The Chukka shape is one that I always really liked, but couldn’t wear because the flex point hurt my foot. This design solves that. I like that there’s not a drastic difference in feel when skating Half Cab Pros and these…it’s a gap that needed to be bridged for Vans.” –Gilbert Crockett

    • Gilbert along with some of the other guys on the team have really been into skating cupsoles lately, and their feedback helped shape the design of this new one. It’s literally on the floor in the forefoot, and flip over the shoe and you’ll notice how the sidewall is thinner on the sides for better flex and feel, then thicker in the toe and heel so there’s more rubber in the high-wear areas.

    • Chris Pfanner helped develop this footbed because he needed more support and cushioning for heavy impact landings. Adding this to a cupsole shoe gives you the ultimate foot protection.
