Throughout the 1980's the Pipeline Skateparks' COMBI bowl stood as the ultimate vertical proving ground. If you ripped and wanted to prove it to the masses all you had to do was make your way to the Badlands of Southern California and survive 45 seconds in the beast. In episode 2 of Love Letters to the Badlands, Grosso sits down with Chris Miller, Lester Kasai and Christian Hosoi to talk about who and what made the place so gnarly... The Pipeline skatepark in Upland, California produced its share of legends. Steve Alba and the Combi pool are two of the most famous.
